Beyond The Forefront

I saw a tweet earlier today about Judge Dredd, and it reminded me of a lot of great sci fi that I've seen that hasn't been a Disney property or epic blockbuster. Ex Machina is a great example of a recent film that falls into this category.

As great as our favorite books, movies, video games, and television shows are, I think its important for us to periodically ponder less mainstream work. Work from the past, and work that has to sometimes live in the shadow of other great work.
